PEACE – Peace Research Community in Europe

Academia Europa Nostra has for many years actively participated in initiatives aimed at building and sustaining peace, consistently pursuing its statutory objectives. Issues related to conflict prevention and the search for constructive solutions to contemporary international challenges have repeatedly been addressed within the framework of the Association’s regular events under the title “Forum Europa Nostra.” In 2022, the governing bodies of the Association signed a declaration of cooperation for peace, further strengthening the organization’s commitment to initiatives promoting security and dialogue among nations.

On 8–9 May 2025, a representative of Academia Europa Nostra took part in the international scientific conference “Reimagining Peace,” dedicated to the contemporary challenges and future prospects of peace and security research. The event, one of the key initiatives implemented within the framework of the EU-funded project CA23129 – Peace Research Community Europe (PEACE), gathered representatives of academic institutions, international organizations, and civil society from across Europe.

One of the significant elements of this project is the establishment of an international, open research cooperation network, open to scholars and experts interested in the fields of peace and international security. Academia Europa Nostra, as an organization supporting initiatives for peaceful coexistence and intercultural cooperation, recognizes the special value of actively participating in such undertakings and of co-creating spaces for dialogue and the exchange of knowledge and experience.
